Since the
eighth century AD, the Japanese have used methods of shaping and
securing cloth before dyeing to create intricate and beautiful
patterns.
Four
traditional Shibori techniques are taught in this full-day class:
stiching, pole wrapping, clamping and knotting. Participants will
receive three silk scarves with which to explore these systems. It’s
fun, experimental, creative and – not surprisingly – no two
results are alike
