Sewing Experience

Using different texturing techniques, transform flat fabric into textured wonders. These textured wonders can be used to make jackets, vests and bags. Come join us for a fun filled morning exploring the different looks of textured fabric.

Student Materials List: 10 fat quarters of coordinating 100% cotton fabric (one a strip if possible) or equal sizes of fabric from your stash, scissors, sewing machine (and all the equipment that make it work including a free motion foot), matching and contrasting thread, smaller ruler (about 12”), an iron (portable ironing boards will be available), small cutting mat if you have one, extension cord if you have one available, ½ yard of muslin (it will be on the underside) and about 2 yards of gimp braid or ttrim of equal width in a coordinating or contrasting color(to cover the raw edges of texture pieces to give the project a finished look).
