When one
thinks of dyeing, you think of huge pots of hot liquid with yarn or
fabric inside. Personally, I always think of the witches in Act IV,
Scene 1 of MacBeth “Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and
cauldron bubble.” Nothing could be farther
from the truth with this dyeing process. Discharge
Dyeing is the process of removing dye from
fabrics with bleach. It is not uncommon to see unusual colors coming
from fabric that was once a dark color. With the aid of some common
everyday articles, your results become even more amazing! If you
have always wanted to try dyeing, but have been worried about the
outcome, this is the class for you! Everything will be provided for
you in this class including two yards of fun filled fabrics. We will
learn several different techniques during this class.
