Laurel
Orthmeyer
started
spinning 15 years ago when she purchased angora goats to eat
knapweed. Her fiber addiction quickly grew to include weaving,
dyeing, knitting, and needle felting. Laurel studied felting with Pat
Sparks and Ayala Talpai, Leslie Sampson and Annemie Konen of the
Netherlands. She enjoys teaching other fiber enthusiasts - one more
way to use up that fiber stash! She especially enjoys creating
colorful needle-felted gnomes and pixies that lurk in her back yard
in Helena. Laurel is teaching Felted Vessels all day Saturday beginning at 9am and Woodland Pixie Needle Felting Saturday afternoon 1pm to 4pm.
